Word of the Day...

Microsoft Word has been very beneficial program for me. It is quite a blessing for it helps me, write essays and due several reports and projects without having to go through the trouble of trying to use my not so very good artistic skills to draw graphs or charts and it helps me to give some rest to my hand for I do not have to write with a pencil and all I need to do is use my fingertips. I have been using word ever since middle school and am quite fond of it. I am sure that I still do not know all the secrets to using it, however, but I hope to learn something which will help me efficiently do the several academic assignments without as many hustles.

My Computer and Me

I presently am in possession of an IBM computer. It has a Windows Vista Operating System running on it. I had to download it on there because it origninally had a Windows XP Operating System on it, and so far, I've liked the Vista Operating System very much. I has many cool features and the all around look of things are much more enhanced now.

I am very excited about this class so far. What I hope to learn in this class is the many secrets of the computer. There are basic skills of doing things that I know how to do on the computer and hopefully through this class, I will be able to learn other neat cool tricks and be able to home those things and have them learned like the back of my hand.

I have been able to connect successfully to the Y, S, J, and N drives successfully to my delight. This will make it very easy to access the homework I have to do and be able to turn things in more efficiently without having always to make a trip to Beze Underground since it's the closest to my dorm.

The Real Me

Hello there,

My name is Ekow Mensah Essel. My first name is pronounced 'echo' and the first thing that people always ask when I tell them how to say my name is 'you mean like echo, echo, echo, echo?' I always get a kick out of that and just smile so as to make them feel as though it was the very first time I've ever heard that question but to tell you the truth, it's the oldest one in the book but you can go ahead and still ask me that. I don't mind.

To let you know a little about who I am and where I am from, I reside in San Antonio, TX, but I am originally from Ghana, West Africa. When I tell people this, they always seem to have some sort of ridiculous question about the loin cloth that I wore or about Snuggles, my pet lion (In case you couldn't tell, I don't really have a loin cloth or a pet lion, but people always ask me about them). I have two older brothers who are of ages 21 and 23. The 21 year old attends the University of Texas at Austin and is very proud to be a Longhorn. The 23 year old attends the University of Texas at San Antonio but I am not very sure how his pride in being a Roadrunner stands.

About my personality, I am a very laid back person who tends to be quiet when one is first introduced to me, but as time goes on, I get louder and louder, but nobody has to worry because I make sure not to get overly loud.

Here also is a video telling you who I am and where I am from. Enjoy!
